Lonely

Darkness creeping in, hiding in my room

The moon here never shines, there is always gloom

I sit with monsters who consume all that is gold

They consume every happy thought, every sweet thing said

These aren’t the monsters you think, they are not under my bed

These are the monsters creeping deep in my head

Turning off the light that shines so bright, deadening my eyes

Dark like the night, fighting, and struggling

I demand to know the name of these monsters

These monsters are me, created by my own mind

Eating me from the inside, I am exhausted from this fight

Am I destine to suffer forever, where is the end of this plight
